Alex looked up Austin McNeal in the company directory and discovered he was a Help Desk Technician. Alex was savvy with computers so he rarely needed any help in his office. He deleted a DLL file from his hard drive which caused some software to fail. He then put in a help desk ticket for the manufactured problem.

Each time Austin received a page for tech support, he hoped it would be Taryn requesting a romantic rendezvous somewhere in her boyfriend’s corporate offices. But this time he swallowed hard as he read the name on the ticket…

Alex Wise, CEO.

Austin could think of no way to get out of the task so he took a deep breath and took the elevator to the top floor. Mr. Wise’s assistant guided him into the executive office where the CEO was waiting.

“Welcome Mr. McNeal. I trust you can fix my problem.”

Austin smiled nervously. “I hope so, sir.”

Austin sat down in the executive chair and began troubleshooting Mr. Wise’s computer problem. Alex looked over the young man trying to ascertain what Taryn saw in him. He wasn’t a bad looking guy but he was no Hollywood hunk. His wavy blonde hair seemed to stay messy. He was younger and probably more energetic than Alex. Judging by the way he dressed, Austin obviously didn’t have a lot of money and certainly couldn’t compete with Alex on that scale. There wasn’t anything about this man that seemed to be irresistible to women.

Alex noticed him glance at the picture of Taryn on the desk. Austin was visibly nervous. He was sweating profusely even though the office was climate controlled. When he spoke he stuttered.

Alex wanted to make him squirm. He pointed to the picture on the desk. “Do you know Taryn? She’s a marketing director.”

Austin glanced at the picture careful not to stare too long. “I’ve seen her around,” he squeaked out.

“I never really liked this picture. I don’t like the lighting. Do you know anything about photography?”

“Um yeah, I’ve dabbled with photography,” Austin admitted.

Alex virtually forced him to look at the picture. “Well what do you think? How would you have lit this picture?”

Austin stared at the picture of his paramour. “I would have added some back lighting. It is too flat.”

Alex glared at Austin without saying anything else. He certainly had the right Austin McNeal.

“Sir, it looks like your spreadsheet software has gotten corrupted somehow. I’ll need to reinstall it. It’s not a big deal, but it may take a while.” Austin was happy to shift the conversation back to the work at hand.

“Do what you need to do. I’m going to take an early lunch. Let my assistant know when you are done.”

“Yes sir.”

On the way out, Alex asked his assistant to pull up the employee records for Austin McNeal. She printed off his application, résumé and background investigation and handed them to Alex in a file folder. Alex placed a call on his cell phone as he left his building.

About 20 minutes later Alex arrived at the office of Ernie Watts, Private Investigator. Ernie was short and round with thinning black hair. There were

frequent times when a business man needed to find out private information about another person and Ernie had always come through for Alex.

“So what have you got for me, Alex?” Ernie grunted.

“Well, it’s a little embarrassing. I think my girlfriend is cheating on me. This is the guy.” Alex handed him Austin McNeal’s file and Ernie paged through it.

“Ouch! A guy in your own company, huh?”

“Yeah. I don’t have any hard evidence though.”

“Well that’s what I’m here for. I’ll tail them both and see what I can dig up.”

“Thanks Ernie.”

Brandon unlocked the hotel room door and guided Veronica inside.  She walked straight to the window and opened the curtain.  They were on the top floor of a mid-rise hotel in downtown Avalon with a peaceful view overlooking the city lights.  She gazed toward the open sky and at the window itself.

Satisfied, Veronica spun around to see Brandon seated on the bed.  Inching slowly toward him, she ran her fingers through her long dark hair and pouted seductively.  She leaned forward and kissed Brandon softly on the lips.

Brandon could feel himself engorging.  He held the sides of Veronica’s face while reclining on the bed.  She climbed onto him as they continued kissing.  Brandon wasn’t sure if he was a good kisser but it didn’t seem to matter to Veronica.  She appeared ready to devour him.

He wasn’t used to such an aggressive woman and couldn’t help feeling overwhelmed.

Veronica released his lips and slid down his torso.  She hurriedly unfastened his pants and pulled them past his hips.   She looked up at Brandon and smiled as she slipped his boxers down.  Her eyes widened indicating she was impressed with his size, though Brandon was sure she’d seen bigger.

Veronica grabbed it with one hand and slid her fingers down the shaft.  She squeezed as she pulled her hand back toward the head.  She touched her tongue to the base and slowly dragged it upward.  Once she reached the tip, she flicked her tongue several times to tease him further.  Then her mouth opened wide.
Brandon held his breath as he watched Veronica’s lips glide onto him.  Her thick lips and long tongue caressed every inch of his shaft.  She took all of him into her mouth.

Brandon stroked her long dark hair as she orally pleasured him.  Veronica was an expert.  It was the best blowjob he ever had.  He just hoped he wouldn’t blow his load too soon.
Veronica lifted her head but continued stroking him with one hand.

She gazed into his eyes and bit her lip.  “I have a secret,” she said softly.

“What is it?” he sighed.

“I have wings too.”

Brandon propped himself up on his elbows.  “What?”

Veronica grabbed the bottom of her shirt and raised it over her head.  Brandon barely noticed her oversized breasts when her black wings unfurled behind her back.  She wasn’t wearing a bra – no women with wings could.  He lay there wide-eyed and confused, staring up at Veronica’s topless winged torso.

“Are you…?”

Veronica nodded her head.  “I’m one of you.”

Of course there are others out there, he thought.  Dr. Mahoney performed these experiments on many people before us.

Veronica’s wings looked different than Brandon’s and the other Angels.  They were thin and black, more closely resembling bat wings.
Her long dark hair, devilish eyes, and black wings made her look more like a demon than an angel.

“Where did you come from?  Are there others?”

Brandon had hundreds of questions, but Veronica shushed him.

“We’ll talk later.  First things first.”

Veronica slipped out of her pants and panties, revealing her shaved crotch.  She was even more stunning once she was nude.  Brandon had never been with a woman this hot and certainly not one with wings.  He couldn’t wait to be inside her.

He stripped off his baggy shirt, revealing his Angel uniform underneath.  Each Angel wore a black uniform made of aramid fibers and bulletproof plates.
The tops were open in the back to allow for their wings and featured a golden angel on the chest.  Alex insisted that they wear their uniforms at all times.  They often wore baggy shirts with their protective garments underneath.  Some of them thought Alex was being overly paranoid, but she erred on the side of caution.

Veronica smiled when Brandon dropped his uniform vest on the floor.

She climbed onto the bed and straddled Brandon.  He already knew she was aggressive and was not surprised that she took charge in bed.  She held his erection and guided it inside of her.  Brandon moaned when he felt her warmth.  As they began to undulate, Brandon knew he was in for the ride of his life.  The motion quickly intensified.  Veronica’s wings waved behind her, echoing the motion of her body.  Gripping Brandon’s shoulders, she pounded against his hips.

Brandon gazed up at her dazzling body as it began to glisten with sweat.  He slid his hands from her waist to her chest.  Her breasts were obviously enhanced.  Her implants appeared very similar to Alex’s and were probably put there by Dr. Mahoney as well.  She was also very muscular, much like Alex.  He often compared his dates to Alex, but they always fell short… until now.  In the dim light, Brandon could easily imagine it was Alex who was riding him.

Brandon had daydreamed about Alex Paige since the first time he saw her.  She was Dr. Mahoney’s teaching assistant, and Brandon frequently ogled her during his Biology 101 class.  At that point, he had no idea about the clandestine organization that she and Dr. Mahoney represented.
Though his body and his life had been drastically altered, his new circumstance meant spending more time with Alex and getting to know her on a personal level.  Despite their age difference, Brandon desired intimate contact with his superior.  However, Alex kept their interactions professional and did not share Brandon’s feelings.  Since he couldn’t have Alex, Veronica was the next best thing.

Veronica fell onto Brandon’s body so that her firm breasts pressed against him.  She wrapped her arms around his back, pinning his wings against his body.  Brandon felt constricted but assumed this was part of her passionate embrace.

Veronica’s wings began to beat intensely.  Brandon wondered if she was about to come.  Then he felt himself lifted from the bed.
Once they were airborne, Veronica flew Brandon across the room and smashed through the large window with a thunderous crash.   Shattered glass rained onto the street below as she carried him into the night sky.

The hotel room that had been filled with passionate moans was now cold and quiet.  Brandon and Veronica’s clothes still lay strewn on the floor.

“Fine! I’ll just go fuck some other guy! See how you like it!”

That’s the last thing she said before slamming the door. It was the end of the worst argument we ever had. And we had some pretty bad ones. Our five years of marriage had been anything but blissful.

Holly and I routinely fought about little things that irritated us, and larger issues that threatened to end our marriage. I often chastised her for running up the electric or water bills, and wasting my hard-earned money in other ways. Holly routinely lectured me about things like forgetting to unload the dishwasher, and spending too much time on the internet. I criticized the way she dressed when she went out at night, fearing that she was trying to attract other men. She said I didn’t show her enough affection, and frequently insulted my sexual prowess. It’s safe to say we had a dysfunctional marriage.

This particular argument started when Holly caught me chatting online with a female friend. Of course, she assumed I was cheating on her with my friend, Laurie. In Holly’s defense, the text on the screen was pretty incriminating. Honestly, Laurie is a cute girl, and I often thought about what she would be like in bed, but I was not trying to cheat. I was simply testing the waters. I guess it would have boosted my ego to know that I could get with Laurie if I wanted to.

It could have been settled quickly, but like most of our arguments, it escalated out of control. If I were a violent man, I would have hit Holly that night. However, even in a fit of rage, I could control myself. Holly, on the other hand, was prone to drastic action.

Holly said she was going to go fuck somebody to get “revenge” for what I was doing with Laurie. It seemed absurd, especially because I wasn’t doing anything more than talking.

That certainly wouldn’t justify infidelity. However, the threat upset me to the point of a near nervous breakdown. I paced around our small ranch house as I pondered the possibilities.

Even though guys were always hitting on her, Holly was never the type who would hook up with some random guy at a bar. No matter how upset she was with me, I couldn’t imagine her having casual sex with a stranger.

On the other hand, she did have a lot of guy friends and kept in touch with some of her ex-boyfriends. I know most of them would sleep with her if given the chance; I know how guys think. I usually trusted Holly to be faithful to me. But given our intense argument, and her tendency to make rash decisions, I worried about her judgment that night.

I turned on the TV in an attempt to distract myself from the stress. Our little black and brown mutt named Snickers lay on my lap.

He seemed to know I needed some comfort. Hours into the night, I tried to get some sleep. I convinced myself that Holly’s statement was just an idle threat. She just wanted to scare me, or hurt me.

Mission accomplished.

She hadn’t come home yet, but she was likely spending the night at her mom’s house or with a friend. It wasn’t the first time we had a huge fight, nor was it the first time we slept in separate houses.

I didn’t sleep very well. Every time I heard a noise, I thought it was Holly coming home. Usually it was just Snickers changing positions. I would perk up and then have a difficult time settling down and drifting off again.

Around 3:30 in the morning, I was awakened by my cellphone chime indicating I had a new text message. It was from Holly, and there was a picture attached.

I opened the attachment to see Holly standing completely nude, holding her cellphone pointed toward her reflection in a mirror. Holly commonly sent me nude pictures of herself while I was working, or any time she wanted to give me a quick thrill. Even though I was half asleep, I stared at her sexy body, enjoying every curve.

She was definitely not overweight, but Holly had some meat on her bones. I preferred that body type to the anorexic type with no curves or boobs. Her long chocolate-brown hair hung down her chest onto her large D-cup breasts. Her skin was smooth with few imperfections. Her luscious thighs pressed together framing her neatly trimmed pubic hair. Her beautiful blue eyes peered at her cellphone screen as she snapped her “selfie.”

But something struck me about her sadistic smile. That’s when I read the text associated with the picture.

James, don’t wait up!

I sat up in the bed and looked closer at the picture. I didn’t recognize the bathroom she was standing in. My wife was naked in someone else’s house.

Evan groaned as he slowly regained consciousness. He felt as though he had been asleep for days. His head pounded and his eyes were ready to explode. Sliding his right hand up his bare torso and onto his forehead, he rubbed his temples and tried to focus his eyes. He could barely see; the room was very dark, and his vision seemed to be limited to black and white images.

It was not the first time Evan awoke in a strange place with a throbbing brain. Frat parties frequently resulted in such circumstances, but he did not have his girlfriend or any other coed cuddled up next to him. Evan lifted his shoulders and leaned on one elbow. As his body shifted, he realized he was naked. Ordinarily this would indicate that he had a great time the previous night, but Evan could not remember how he came to be naked in a dark room with a pounding headache.

The elbow which supported the weight of his upper body pressed against the metal table. Dorm room beds were far from luxurious but would have been preferable to spending hours on a metal slab. Evan detected the stench of antiseptic chemicals. For a moment, he wondered if he had awakened in a morgue. He began to believe he had woken from the dead and was thankful he had not been buried yet.

As the blood flow to his brain increased, so did Evan’s vision. He could see a little further into the room now. He saw surgical instruments near him which caused an involuntary chill to run over his skin. As he turned his head, he saw the body of another person lying on an identical table several feet from him.

A naked female form gradually came into focus. Evan watched her chest

gently raising and lowering with each breath indicating this person was also alive. Her long blonde hair draped onto her right shoulder, but her face was turned toward her left, preventing Evan from identifying her. Yet there was something familiar about her body.

Evan shook his head and rubbed his eyes trying to bring better focus. The girl’s head rolled as she began to return to consciousness. Evan sat up on the edge of the table as he saw her face come into view.

“Rain?”

Rain opened her eyes and stared blankly.

Evan called to her, “Where are we?”

Rain responded with another question. “Is that you Evan?”

“Yeah, it’s me. Do you know where we are?”

“I can’t see you.” Rain’s eyes swept back and forth in confusion.

“I’m right here.” Evan waved his hands at Rain.

“I can’t see. Are the lights off?”

“It’s dark, but there is a little bit of light.”

“I can’t see anything.” Rain began to panic. She sprung up with her arms flailing hysterically. “Oh my God! I’m blind! I’m blind, Evan!”

Evan jumped off of the table and ran to Rain. The cement floor was cold to the touch of his bare feet. Rain shrieked when she felt a man grab her shoulders in the dark.

“It’s me, baby. I’ve got you.”

“Oh my God, Evan. What happened to me? Where are we?”

“I don’t know. But I’m going to take care of you.”

Evan wrapped his large muscular arms around Rain’s petite torso. He had seen that she was naked, but when his hands touched her back, he felt a textured surface.

Evan backed away from Rain slightly. “What’s on your back?”

Rain instinctively looked over her shoulder as if she could see anything. Evan stepped behind her. He slowly extended his arm and rubbed his fingers down the snow-white material which covered most of Rain’s back.

“It looks like… feathers.”

“Eww, get them off of me.”

Evan swiped at the feathers but they did not move. He looked closer, still struggling to focus his eyes. He pinched one feather between his fingers and yanked it out.

“Ouch!” Rain exclaimed.

“You felt that? What the hell?”

Evan pushed both hands into the feathers on Rain’s back. He gripped what felt like bones inside of the tissue. He slowly pulled on the bones and the entire structure began to extend outward from Rain’s back. Once fully extended the structure reached about six feet from her spine. It was supported by a bony framework, covered in thin skin, and coated with snow-white feathers. There was an identical appendage attached to the other side of her spine. Each appeared to be surgically fused with her spinal column and back muscles.

Evan’s eyes bulged from their sockets. His breathing nearly stopped.

“What is it?” Rain called out, now fully aware that something was attached to her.

"Rain... you have wings."

By the time Friday night arrived, Cassie and I were ready to blow off some steam. It was time to party, for real this time. Cassie called Dana and soon the three of us arrived at the off-campus frat house of Kappa Pi.

We had never seen anything like it. These boys knew how to party. There had to have been over 200 people there and they were all drinking. Loud dance music pounded from PA speakers in the yard. The neighbors must be okay with it or else the cops would have arrived long ago.

Three hot eighteen-year-old girls did not remain isolated or empty handed for long. Some young guys vied for our attention and nearly forced cups of beer into our hands. The cold beers were refreshing on the humid night. The freshman boys were muscled out of the circle by frat boys competing for our companionship.

After sticking together for the first hour, Dana shifted into a private conversation with one guy who caught her eye. Cassie and I stayed close together.

“So what’s your name?”

I turned to answer the question I had answered countless times already that night.

“Ashley,” I said with a smile to the sexy man to my left.

“I’m Keaton. Nice to meet you. And who’s your friend?” he asked looking over my shoulder.

“Cassie. We’re friends from back home.”

“Awesome.” When he smiled, his dimples showed. I noticed that and smiled back. “You’re freshmen right?”

“Is it that obvious?” Cassie responded.

“Well I just know I would remember if I had seen you before. I don’t miss lovely ladies like you.”

I could feel myself blush. I felt an attraction to the frat boy already. Or maybe it was just the alcohol.

“So you’re in Kappa Pi? I’ve heard you guys are the coolest?” I tried to flatter him, but I’m sure it came across as patronizing.

“Well I like to think so. I’m a junior now and I’ve been with the brotherhood since my freshman year.” He paused as he looked at the nearly empty cups in our hands.”

Keaton looked toward the keg. “Hey Ian!” Then he held up three fingers.

A moment later Ian entered the circle with three freshly poured beers. He handed one to Keaton and one to each of the freshman girls as he eyed us up and down. Ian was a decent looking guy but I had my eyes on Keaton. Ian wore a tank top shirt with the frat’s Greek letters boldly emblazoned on the front. He looked like he spent a lot of time in the sun.

His roommate and frat brother, Keaton wore a cap backward revealing a bit of his bushy hair. The cap featured the name of the college while his shirt had “Kappa Pi” written in small letters. Both clearly spent a lot of time at the gym and were in good shape.

Keaton smiled at his brother. “These girls think we’re the coolest fraternity.”

“Well they’re fucking right.”

We all laughed.

Ian looked at me. “Are you going to join a sorority?”

“I’m not sure yet. We haven’t really met anyone.”

“You guys should definitely pledge Sigma Chi Upsilon. You would fit in really well.”

Cassie and I looked at each other. “You’re not the first person to say that,” I responded.

As the beer flowed and the conversations continued, our foursome began to pair off. To my disappointment, Keaton favored Cassie and I was stuck with Ian. I tried to control my jealousy and enjoy my conversation with Ian. After a few more beers, I forgot which one I liked.

Then Keaton interrupted Ian in mid-sentence. He had Cassie clinging to him like a kitten clinging to her mother.

“Hey guys, Cassie wants to go upstairs and get a little smoky.” Keaton pressed his thumb and forefinger together and held it to his lips to further illustrate what he was describing.

Ian and I followed the others into the frat house. Of course in my current state, I probably would have followed them into a burning house.
